Rescue crews were called to a pool in Warwick Tuesday, where a 15-year-old boy drowned.
The call came into rescue crews shortly after noon on Tuesday, for a possible drowning on McKinley St. in Warwick. Once on scene, crews found the boy's body in a pool.
Crews pulled the boy from the pool and began CPR. The victim was taken to Kent County Memorial Hospital where he later died.
According to a press release issued by the Warwick Police Department, the boy was visiting a family member. Family members "could not locate [the boy] for about 20 minutes." The release goes on to state that "the pool water was cloudy and [the family] could not see the victim at the bottom of the pool."
The incident remains under investigation at this time.
