Julie Ruditzky joined the ABC 6 news team in the summer of 2004.Julie was born and raised in Norwich, CT. She graduated from Fordham University, in the Bronx, NY, with a B.A. in Communications and also attended New York Institute of Technology in Long Island. Julie always wanted to be a TV reporter.
In 8th grade, she wrote a letter to former WFSB-TV anchor Gayle King telling her she wanted to pursue a career in broadcasting. King invited Julie to WFSB studios to watch a newscast.
From that day on, Julie knew she wanted to pursue a career in reporting. While in high school, she became a Fox Kids' News reporter for Fox 61 WTIC.
During college, she worked at WFUV-FM and covered Mayor Rudy Giuliani's administration. She also interned at Dateline NBC. Julie has received an Associated Press "Instant Citation" for breaking news coverage and the New Hampshire Association of Broadcasters award for spot news.
She has done several live reports for CNN and Fox News Channel. She has worked for WVIT, WNDS, CNN, and the Associated Press.
