Doreen Scanlon helps wake up southern New England every morning beginning at 5 am. As the morning and noon anchor, Doreen loves giving our viewers the latest information they need before they head out the door.

Before coming to ABC6 in early 2007, Doreen was the morning and noon anchor at KOAM-TV in Pittsburg, Kansas. Doreen has worked in various aspects behind the camera as well; namely as a production assistant for Fox News Channel in New York City, where she worked at both 2004 political conventions. She has also interned at WBZ and WCVB in Boston. Doreen has covered it all - from politics to storms to the everyday stories that change our lives.

She is a graduate of Boston College with a Master's degree in Broadcast Journalism from Emerson College. When not cheering on the BC Eagles, Doreen is often found out on the ocean with her husband, ABC 6 Reporter Parker Gavigan.
