Paul Mueller co-anchors ABC 6 News First @ 4 with Allison Alexander. You can then find him reporting breaking stories, chasing down criminals, and getting exclusive interviews you'll see only on ABC 6 News at 6 and 11.

Paul is an award winning broadcast journalist with 15 years of television news experience. He has been recognized with numerous Emmy and Associated Press awards and nominations over the years in an array of categories, including hard news, consumer reports, and feature reporting.

Paul got a jump-start on his career at the NBC affiliate in Boston, then began his journey working his way up the ladder. He reported for the BBC in New York and then took an anchor/reporter job in Tyler, Texas. From there, he traveled north to Richmond, Virginia; Providence, Rhode Island; and then as weekend anchor and reporter at The Ten O'Clock News in Boston.

Soon after that, Paul began traveling the country, reporting for WMUR in Manchester, New Hampshire and then a cross-country drive reporting at KOMO-TV and KCPQ-TV in Seattle, Washington.

Now, this isn't Paul's first time here in the Renaissance City.  You might remember Paul was a reporter here from 2001 through 2003.  Paul was the first ABC6 reporter on scene that frigid February night back in 2003 at the Station Nightclub fire.

Since his arrival this time, Paul had the opportunity to field anchor from Warwick for what he calls the experience of a lifetime.  The ABC program, Extreme Makeover:  Home Edition, took the city of Warwick by storm and built a house for a very needed family in less than a week.  Paul could be found on scene for 9 straight days filing reporting from noon through 11 pm.

"It's great to be back in Providence and see so many familiar faces," Paul says. "It's like coming home again."

And for all those viewers, Paul says, he wants to hear from you. So if you have any story ideas that you want to see only on ABC 6, feel free to shoot him an email at pmueller@abc6.com.

What Do You Think of the State's New Ability to Track Illegal Immigrants?

  • I Like it, illegal immigrants are finding work easily while I rot in line at the unemployment office
  • Bad Idea, These people are taking sub-minimum wage jobs anyway and actual citizens are getting snared in this E-Verify system
