Erica Ricci joined the ABC6 newsteam in January of 2007 as a general assignment reporter. Since then, she has begun anchoring the weekend morning show on the Rhode Island News Channel.
Erica has worn many different hats in the news industry: anchor, reporter, producer and assignment editor. She began her career at WJAR in Cranston on the assignment desk. While there, she got a break from the desk and got out into the field to cover the deadly Station Nightclub Fire that gained nationwide coverage. That was the springboard to her reporting career, which began in June of 2003 at a cable news station in Fall River, MA. Erica was both an anchor and reporter in Fall River, covering major stories, breaking news and the Blizzard of 2005.
Erica graduated with Broadcast Journalism degree from Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA, but says she's glad to be back home in Rhode Island where she was born and raised. When she's not reporting the news of the day, you can find Erica serving at her church, at the gym or the mall. Erica also loves spending time with her husband and family.
