Jim Corbin joined the ABC6 Weather Team in May of 2005 bringing with him a wealth of knowledge and over twenty years experience forecasting the tricky New England weather.
Jim has presented the weather at several television stations throughout New England, including WVNY in Burlington, Vt.; WCSH in Portland, Maine; WLVI in Boston; New England Cable News, WPRI and WJAR. Jim has also worked atop the nationally known Blue Hill in Milton, MA, as a weather observer and for 30 years has kept weather records that he incorporates into his broadcasts as weather statistics and everyday tidbits.
Jim earned a Bachelor of Science degree in meteorology from Lyndon State College in Vermont and holds an AMS Television Seal of Approval. Jim worked on and received a patent for a "tide template," which determines tides at various locations.
Jim is a native of Braintree, Mass., and says "talking about our changeable New England weather and how it affects us all is the fun part of work." An avid bowler, Jim also enjoys golf, baseball, hockey, pool, darts, hiking the hills and gazing at the heavens on a starry night.
