Event Description
How about commemorating Mom with a brick in her name that will be placed in the beautiful OLD LIBRARY PARK located at 55 Brown Street in Wickford. This pretty walkway has sculptures, garden benches and well maintained seasonal plantings of flowers and shrubs. Proceeds from this Plum Beach Garden Club brick sale benefit community projects in North Kingstown such as the maintenance of gardens at Gilbert Stuart, the town library , floral arrangements at Beechwood, and the current "Island project". Donation for each brick is $50.00.
The Plum Beach Garden Club took on this "Park" project in 1997 and has been maintaining the park & the plantings ever since. The ongoing brick sale has provided funds for these community projects.
When you visit the park, the names & witty engravings on the bricks make for a leisurely stroll and relaxing, humorous interlude in your day.
