Paper Treasures: The Naval History Collection of Ambassador J. William Middendorf II, Secretary of the Navy 1974-1977. The museum also features permanent exhibits on the Navy in the Narragansett Bay area.
WHERE: 686 Cushing Rd., Newport
COST: Free and open to the public.
MORE INFO: (401)841-4052/2101; visitors without base decal must call the museum 24 hours in advance to gain access to the Naval Station.
