New! Nature Play Group
Audubon Powder Mill Ledges Wildlife Refuge
Smithfield, RI
11:00 a.m. – Noon
Do you remember having long stretches of time as a child - just to explore nature on your own? Whether you made stick dams in a stream or watched ants in the ant hill, most adults experienced unstructured, self-led nature play as a child. Child-led play hones spatial skills, critical thinking, problem solving and builds self esteem.
Join our new nature play group and get the kids outside. Children will explore nature the way THEY choose and parents can learn how to facilitate nature play in their own lives. Wear closed- toe shoes and dress for the weather. We will go out to enjoy nature - rain or shine.
