Portsmouth, RI -- Visiting Nurse Services of Newport and Bristol Counties will hold four public H1N1 flu and seasonal flu vaccine clinics for people aged 18 and older at 1 - 4 pm on Thursday, February 11. Clinics will be held at VNS of Newport and Bristol Counties’ Portsmouth office located at 1184 East Main Rd.

For H1N1 immunization, adults ages 18 - 49 will receive the intranasal vaccine. Adults ages 50 and older, and high-risk individuals, will receive the injectable vaccine. Seasonal flu vaccine will also be available at the clinics.

People are asked to bring their insurance cards. Because the government is providing the vaccine at no cost, insurers will only be charged for the cost of administering the vaccine. For people who do not have insurance, there is no charge.

Visiting Nurse Services of Newport and Bristol Counties is an independent, non-profit agency that has provided community services promoting optimal health and quality of life for individuals and families since 1950.
