Johnston Dog Ruled 'Vicious' - Is It Political?

Bryan Monaghan

A local dogowner now has to keep her dog on a run in her yard, after a panel ruled the animal 'vicious'. This after her dog bit another dog walking by - which happened to be owned by the Mayor of Johnston.

Now, those who witnessed the incident say the dog punished in all of this may just be the victim of town politics.

ABC 6 News Reporter Jeremy Tung has the story.

My son was bit by our neighbors dog and the dog was not deemed vicious in fact he was given back to the owners without any restrictions and the dog bit another boy on our street in the face. Why is it that nothing was the first time this dog attacked a person not even another dog? It could have prevented another child from being bitten in the face.

Zack was riding in the back of Marcia's car when I met him the first time and was greeted only with kisses. Nothing vicious there!

As a professional business person I have made deliveries at the property several times this year and have always been greeted by the dog in question in a very friendly normal way. Without question, this is a political motivated action! Jay Providence

Are you kidding? This dog is the kindest, most friendly dog I have ever met in my life. He wouldn't harm anyone. You are pushing your power a little too much Mr Mayor, get a life!!

Could someone let the everyday person know how to go about getting an issue like this brought before a panel? Who knew? How many areas have dogs running around, barking & growling at people? The dog officer just tells them to keep them tied up. The next day their out again. Just looking for equal opportunity.
