It may be hot out there now, but before we know it winter will be here.  Local schools are already bracing for a cold ahead, but keeping those classrooms warm is going to cost big bucks.

Schools are trying to plan ahead but some cities are seeing huge jumps in the cost of fuel.  Newport's bill alone has gone up more than 125% in the last 5 years.  These skyrocketing costs ensure that most school systems are facing a long and expensive winter.
