I live in Mass and watch your news every night. I am getting very annoyed that you are not reporting on what is happening or being planned in Mass but just about RI every time. Why is MA not vaccinating our school children like RI is? My pediatrician and town nurse keeps saying they do not have the vaccine & don't know when they'll have it. Aren't Mass children just as important as the RI children? Can you please start reporting on Mass as well?

My children are 3 and 1, I called their pediatrician two get appt. for H1N1 vaccine and was told that medicaid children get vaccine first that I would have to call back in couple of weeks to see if they had anymore then. Can they refuse to not give them vaccine just because we have regular insurence? My children might have to suffer for them not having medicaid.

my grandson (age 10)was exposed to probable H1N1 . He was playing with his friend Sun eve who came down wih a high fever and other sx of the flu the next day. He is scheduled for the vaccine tomorrow at school.He has no symptoms but has most likely contracted the virus. Is this safe??

I am the parent of a 10 year old that just read in the Westerly Sun that there are confirmed cases of H1N1 in the area. I also learned the the Assistant Superintendent, Sylvia Blanda, would NOT confirm which school it was at. Why is this? Why haven't children with asthma been given higher priority to be vaccinated when the fact is that they are at such a higher risk? The recent CNN article about this with its statistics is truely frightening, describing children with asthma "at double jeopardy". Who told you guys that hand sanitizer was ok to use before eating? From a cook point of view, that is BOGUS!!!! I just saw a thing about trick or treating and using hand sanatizer before eating candy. Unless the sanatizer is food grade that'll cause even more problems. Hand washing will work much better and is much safer when about to eat. Plus too much sanatizer can eat through your skin and give the germs a place to hide.

Did the state forget about school aged children who are Rhode Island residents and attend school in MA or CT? NO PROVISIONS have been made for these children. According to the Department of Health, they have to wait until all other children have been vaccinated and can then try to get an appointment for a vaccination at their pediatrician's office. These children's parents pay taxes too. ALL children should be able to be vaccinated, not just those attending RI schools!
