UPDATE:

It turns out it wasn't such a great deal after all.

The phone number on a Craigslist ad claiming to be selling $1 Providence recycling bins is actually that of Providence City Hall, leading to a recorded message from Mayor David Cicilline.

Looks like the bargain bins were too good to be true.

With Providence recycling bins being the crux of the city's garbage problem and the bins themselves reportedly being swiped off of sidewalks, someone has started a Craigslist venture selling the plastic receptacles...
