Roger Williams Student Pulled Over by Phony Cop

John Eagan

Police officers usually want your license and registration when they pull you over.
But one local woman ran into a phony officer, who wanted something else.
The impostor pulled the 20-year old over Saturday night in Bristol, and he even tried to get her out of the car.
The woman was immediately aware that something was wrong and told the phony officer she would drive herself to the police station.
The suspect then jumped in his car and sped away.
Police are still searching for the impostor.
Roger Williams University notified all students about the bogus traffic stop and cautioned them to be extra careful while out at night.
ABC 6 reporter Malini Basu has the details...
