Police: Teens Fabricated Berkley Drive-by Shooting Story

Teen was reportedly shot accidentally by friend

John Eagan

There has been a break in a mysterious shooting in Berkley, Massachusetts.
ABC 6 has learned tonight that 20-year-old Carmello Cacciatore was not the victim of a drive-by shooting, as previously thought.
Police now say Cacciatore admitted that he was with some friends when he was shot.
One of those friends, 17-year old Angel Reed, was showing him a gun when it went off.
Reed and two others tried to rush Cacciatore to the hospital, but called an ambulance when it was clear Cacciatore was seriously hurt.
Police say all four friends are in trouble, and not just for lying, officers found drugs and more guns in the home of two of those suspects.
ABC 6 anchor John Deluca has the developing details...

I knew something was sketchy about this whole 'drive-by' act. These kids are jokes. They need to stop thinking they're cool thuggin' in Berkley. Give up the act, you're not hard, you're not a thug, you never will be. If you want to play that, move to DeWert. They better be seriously charged because these kind of people are bringing guns and drugs into the otherwise quiet, crime-free area. But I'm sure the boys' parents will shell out the cash to hire great lawyers that'll let the punks get away.
