A Mother's Day Washout? Maybe Not...

John Eagan

Stormtracker Meteorologist Fred Campagna has been following this May storm throughout the day.
The rain is coming down heavier later this afternoon as a storm develops over the Atlantic Ocean to our south.
We can expect moderate to heavy rain at least until 8 pm.
The wind will increase to 25-40 mph right along the South Coast and on The Islands.
Any heavy rain in Rhode Island should come to an end by late evening, and it will be damp, brisk and cool after midnight with temps in the 40s.
Moderate rain may linger over Southeastern Massachusetts into tomorrow morning, totals should be near an inch, with more on The Cape and Islands.
Saturday afternoon conditions will brighten as the day goes along, reaching near 60 degrees.
And as for Mother's Day???  Well, just watch Fred's video forecast and start planning those cookouts...
