Police Horse Attacked by Mob Outside Local Night Club

     It is an attack that has animal rights activists outraged.
     Sardelli the horse is part of the Providence Police Mounted Patrol.
     Over the weekend she was punched and kicked by a mob of people outside the "Level 2" nightclub in Providence.
     Seven people stand charged with animal cruelty.
     If convicted, they could go to jail for a year.
     Fortunately, the horse was not seriously hurt.

I was one of the people arrested for that. I am not speaking for any others. I petted the horse once and then was attacked by three police officers. They threw me into side of a moving car leaving the parking lot. I have scrapes and bruises on my body and also five witnesses. I wouldnt never hurt an animal i have 7 pets at my house. I love animals to death. If anything the animal rights activists should be upset how the horse is used in the field. Edward Benevides Fall River MA

Thats just sick!!! Why would someone even think of hitting the horse for no reason, they just obey the COPS that ride them thats all... If ya'll can't act right when you go out to the clubs then stay home and stop ruining for other people who try to go out and have fun
