Miley Cyrus Now Accused of Song Stealing

     Just two weeks after the scandal surrounding her racy 'Vanity Fair' photographs, another bump in the road involving Miley Cyrus is looming.
     This time she is accused of stealing another band's song.
     The band "Lustra" claims the music in Cyrus' song, "Rockstar" is a carbon copy of their song, "Scotty Doesn't Know", which was featured in the 2004 film 'EuroTrip'.
     And the band is now inviting fans who love Miley's song to check out "the original".
     ABC 6 anchor Tom Langford has samples of both songs...

I listened to both songs and i found that the intro is slightly similar but after that, the song "rockstar" doesn`t even come close to the other song. Especially to acuse someone of song stealing. Sounds to me like "lustra" is just looking for some publcity.

The tune is the same. In Lustra's the notes are doubled and in miley's they arn't. I love Miley's music but stealing is NOT ok. I think that the steal was not intentional. i have written music before and with out realizing it re-written songs that already exsist. The person who wrote it probobly didn't realize that they were copying. Also does Miley even write her own songs?

I think people need to back off of her. New music is all variations of music from the past. You can find hundreds of songs all built on the same chords and basic melodies all with different twists. Lustra needs to back off and accept the fact that Disney and Miley came up with a good song and that she is so successful. Miley Cyrus is a multi-millionare who has her road paved for her. Lustra is a good band, and they are poor and are working hard for a living. Miley's records will sell millions no matter what so their's no reason she needs to rip off poor bands that rely on the success of one song. Stepping in on this? Miley isn't responsable for writing her music, someone else is. "Lustra" is absolutly unknown to me so they obviously wern't that good and now they look even worse for picking on a CHILD. Why isn't Disney stepping in to stop this media frenzy?
