I grew up near Roger Williams' Park and I used to really enjoy the fireworks there and I do not know why they stopped them. People used to stop on the highway back then and watch them and nobody got into accidents because of it to my knowledge. I do miss that time.

My family and I went to Coventry High School to watch the fireworks this year. They were beautiful. Started a little late but great show!

I loved the fireworks display at Oakland Beach last night on the 3rd. The grand finale was great this year. I thank the people who put on the show, it makes everyone think about our troops, and their families. Thank you again!!!

Those Piping Plovers must be amazing to be able to distinguish between Fireworks and Thunderstorms! Wow!

Another display of fine planning on the part of Narragansett. It would have been too simple to relocate the fireworks to Roger Wheeler beach. Thank you for ruining my holiday.

Exactly, WHY cannot the Fireworks be held at Roger Williams Park? As they have been for years? Maybe, we will have another Gay parade there instead. What is Providence becoming? another San Franscisco? REmember the Fall of the Roman Empire?

What is the fire hazard that would cause the 4th of July fire works to be cancelled? Is it the rain?
