Coast Guard Rescues Ailing Fisherman off Cape Cod

The US Coast Guard airlifted 56-year-old Manuel Ferreira from the fishing boat Blue Sea II yesterday. The boat was about 95 miles east of Chatham, Massachusetts.

Ferreira had been complaining of abdominal pain and the Coast Guard sent an HH-60 Jayhawk helicopter to pick him up. He is in stable condition at a Cape Cod hospital this afternoon.
