Only On ABC 6 -New Details in Providence Daytime Robbery and Shooting

Bryan Monaghan

An afternoon bank robbery on Thursday quickly turns into a police chase and shootout in the capital city. Two men fled after robbing the bank, and fired shots at officers pursuing them. No officers were hit, and when they chased down the suspects, one of the robbers took his own life.

Police took someone they believe to be the second suspect into custody.

ABC 6 News Reporter Robert Goulston has new details tonight.

To Accurary - Yes, the reporter has, in previous stories, mis-spelled things, misuses words AND misinterpreted things, but the station fixes it fairly quick enough by either taking the story off the website or "updating" it. There's only so much "clean up" the station can do for their reporters and this was definitely beyond repair.
