You don’t need to be a world class economist, like Gerald Celente, to know that America can’t spend its way out of debt! If President Obama wants to save America from a disaster many times worse than the Great Depression, he and his administration had better turn tail and stop the social engineering of America immediately! Not only that but they should also start gutting the social programs already in place and lowering taxes across the board, then use the majority of the money received by the federal government to pay down the national debt. If not and if he and the democrats in congress refuses to change course within the next couple of months, then I fear it will be too late to stop a horrific collapse of the U. Gerald Celente could not be more spot on. I agree that ther will be a total collapse in our country. There is no way the Feds can continue to print money like its nothing without backing it up with something, like GOLD and SILVER. I say this country needs to get back to the gold standard as a basis for valuing the dollar. Folks, we have not even began to see the effects of this constant printing of fiat currency. Secure your doors folks because the worst is yet to come.

I owe about $50,000.00 on my mortgage to Citi Bank. If Citi Bank is getting a bizillion in stimulus money from the govt, how about sending $50,000.00 of that bizillion made payable to me and Citi Bank. I will endorse the check to Citi Bank, payoff my debt and Citi Bank will get the money. God said himself that he did not create the world in vain. And "World without end." So don't go freaking out that the world is going to blow up. Thank you for doing a piece on Mr. Celente. I have been following his advice (or predictions) for a little over 2 years. While I regret what is going to come, I do feel that my family will be more prepared than most. My husband was laid off Jan. 3, MASS. unemployment is chump change. However, we have gathered a group of like-minded people for a barter network. I would advise everyone to at least do that much, because those Fed reserve notes won't be buying much come next fall. Last year federal tax revenues were almost $3T, at the bottom of this recession, maybe only $1T. But government must learn that this is all the money it has. No gimmick in the world can evade this fact. The American people are utterly ignorant of economic theory. Celente is correct and most missed his comment about the printing of money or "Monetization" of our Debt. Red China owns so much US Debt that it can now dictate US Domestic Policy. The dollar will eventually utterly collapse and the dollar figure you all thought you had in your Money Markets will be reduced to 10%. This happened in 1920s Germany (Weimar). Every Empire since Rome 400 AD collapsed from within. Why would WE be immune?

If Washington would give us the money with stipulations requiring us to get out of debt and make banks modify the mortgages there would be more disposable income to pump into the economy and the property prices/foreclosure would stabilize. I've been keeping track of Celente since I first heard about him, not too long ago. This year in fact. I think he's right on target, and it's scary. Am hoping that President Obama's plan will work.
