Traffic on Route 95 North at the Massachusetts line was backed up for about an hour and a half Saturday night after a deadly two-car accident.
Massachusetts State Police say that at about 5:30pm a Ford Explorer operated by 23 year-old Jessica Ebert from Attleboro hit a car driven by 18 year-old Jennifer Poissant from Pawtucket. The Explorer rolled over, killing 30 year-old Matthew Kercado from Taunton and a still-unidentified three year-old.
Ebert, 40 year-old Christopher Ebert, 42 year-old Heather Kercado and a 14 month-old were all transported to area hospitals.
Poissant's car ended up in the woods but she was not hurt.
The crash remains under investigation.

My heart goes out to this family. I was a close friend of Mattys from RIC - He will be truely missed. It is always a lot harder when a young person loses their life so short - in a complete accident. My prayers go out to the family members that are still remained in the hospital.

I was driving on 95S when it occured and I want to assure the family members that even though I witnessed this private, tragic moment in their lives, the shock and grief I felt was not that of a stranger. My heart and prayers, as well as those of my community at St. Thomas's Espicopal Church in New Haven are with all of you.
