N. Smithfield Police Respond to Fatal Motorcycle Crash

The North Smithfield Police Department responded Friday to a single vehicle motorcycle crash on Eddie Dowling Highway northbound near the entrance of the Family Fun Center.

40-year-old Carlos Lemos of East Providence was pronounced dead on the scene by the North Smithfield Fire Department.

Mr. Lemos' vehicle was found to have veered left while going northbound, striking the guardrail, causing him to be ejected. This is according to the preliminary investigation.

The accident is still under investigation.
