Weed through his BS boasting and understand a bit more about how his has spent our money on UNECESSARY things during a time when a huge deficit was looming. It is titled "Progress You Can Be Proud Of ..." ...which should be followed by "and will pay through the nose for" http://northprovidenceri.gov/

we have to act on this. send letters, make calls, refuse to pay the taxes, anything but sit back and take this...and most importantly - vote every single one of them out unless someone actually deserves to get re-elected by serving in OUR best interest, not their own.

Don't give Charlie undue credit-he was NEVER voted in. He slipped in as mayor by default when Ralph Mollis left to be Sec of State & nobody else ran last election. He LOST every election he ran in prior and for good reason as we all can see now. He is a control freak and an embarrassment to our town every time he opens his mouth. We have to do something to reverse this decision-sounds like Paul Caranci found plenty more in the budget that could have been cut to prevent increased property tax

The mayor has already admitted that he has a payroll that is out of control. Why do we have almost 1000 town employee's??? Maybe they should cut the overtime and reduce the payroll! You can't run a town like you run a business. Also why is our tax revenue a problem, their are numerous business's in NP.

The list of wasteful spending is endless but unfortunately most people don't realize it and actually believe the BS that comes out of the mayor and town council's mouths. We should have visibility into how every dollar OF OURS is being spent...and the ability to take legal action for wasteful spending. Enough is enough

In the past year-over $1 million renovating town hall, including the Mayor's office of course; over $1 million renovating space for building inspectors office; $16K to hire an ex-high school principal (good friend of Charlie Lombardi of course) to perform an environmental research role?? laughable; installed GPS' in town cars...the list goes on & on of how OUR money has been and continues to be mispent. Could these things have waited? Were they necessary with a huge deficit looming?

This is criminal. I am furious. We do not have a revenue problem - our elected officials do not manage our money responsibly. Vote every one of these people out next election and SPEAK OUT NOW. We cannot continue to sit back and take this, it's time to make it clear we are tired of this abuse of our tax money.
