ONLY ON ABC6: Warwick Pastor's Purse Robbed During Sunday Service

Police are on the lookout for a man who allegedly stole cash from a pastor's purse at the Woodbury Union Church at 58 Beach Ave. in Warwick.

According to Warwick Police Captain Sean Collins, during Sunday's morning service, a light-skinned black male in his 30's asked to use the bathroom. People in the church were suspicious and tried to keep up with him but lost sight of him. A search for the man was unsuccessful.

According to police, a black female came in looking for the male. They left together after the service, and the pastor, Beth Apple, noticed that approximately $80 was missing from her purse.

Anyone with information is asked to call Warwick Police at 401- 732-8477.
