POLICE: RI Hit and Run Suspect Found Hiding in Closet

A Providence man in court today answering to charges he hit three people with his car then took off.

Police say it happened just before two Sunday morning on 95 in Providence.

The victims were standing on the side of the highway after an accident. That's when, police say, 30-year old Christopher Swiridowsky drove his car straight into them.

Later that morning police found Swiridowsky, hiding in a closet inside of a home on Lynch Street.

Two victims remain in critical condition.

Robert the guy is 30 years old...no kid...and does not matter where the victims were standing...he hit them and ran with one of them sticking through his windshield...he is an idiot and needs to be shoved through a windshield to bleed out...

With all due respect for the victims, you dont know the whole story. They could have been standing right near his lane and he clipped them. It sounds like an accident and the poor kid was probably scared to death. Everyone is so quick to judge but i bet it would be different if it was you hiding in the closet. Typical society...loves drama even at the cost of an accident.

He likes closets so much, that should be his sentence. Whatever time he gets, if any, should be spent in a closet. Or, if he gets a suspended sentence, he should walk around with a sign that says, I am the guy that hits people on the highway and runs to hide in a closet.
