I am a doctor in Rhode Island and our system is blindingly inefficient. I have children missing their school's flu clinics and thus not receiving vaccine at all, despite high-risk medical conditions. In addition, I am a provider to both young children and pregnant patients--the patients at highest risk--but have not been vaccinated myself. In Mass and other New England states, health care providers have been vaccinated without question. RI is rationing vaccine like a third world country.

A lottery was done to determine what order the schools throughout our crooked state would get the H1N1 clinic. Isn't it ironic that North Kingstown got picked first? And isn't it ironic that our wonderful governor's grandson attends school in North Kingstown. Hmm seems kinda fishy to me. But like everything else in this state, it;s who you know.
