Book Written about Cat with Ability to See Death Coming

ABC 6 News

A Providence cat's uncanny ability, is gaining him world wide attention.

ABC 6 News first introduced you to Oscar, back in 2007. Oscar lives at the Steere House Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Staff Members say when he curls up next to someone ill, it normally means the person has only 2, to 4 hours left to live.

Oscar can predict a person's passing so accurately, when he's seen curled up next to a patient, staff now notify hospice, priests, or the patient's family.

Now, after 50 correct calls, over the last 5 years, someone has written a book about the cat. Doctor David Dosa's book, "Making Rounds with Oscar" hits store shelves this week.

moosedog, your absolutely right. According to the episode, the cat depends on a certain temperature in order to find it comfortable to nap, the person who is dying has that particular temp.

I wonder if the patient that is dying see the cat in a different form -more of that being an angel that is sitting till the Guardian Angel comes for them--this is God's doing I am sure.
