On 01/15/2010, at approximately 10:00 pm, Officers of the Tiverton Police Department responded to the area of 301 Bulgarmarsh Rd for a report of a robbery. Officers were advised that a 72 year old female was sleeping in her home when she was awoken by the sound of someone entering her residence.

The victim stated that she noticed a male subject wearing a dark colored hood approaching her while she was on her couch in the living room. She advised that the male then grabbed her hands as she stood up, and then grabbed her pocket book. The suspect also ripped the telephone from the wall, and then fled from the home.
On 02/05/2010 Tiverton Officers arrested 32 year old David Rose, 301 Bulgarmarsh Rd., Lot 69, Tiverton Rhode Island. Rose was arrested on a warrant issued by the Fall River Police Department for
unarmed robbery. At the time of his arrest, Rose was considered a suspect in the 01/15/2010 incident.

Tiverton Detectives had been actively searching for Rose for questioning. At the Tiverton Police Department, Rose was questioned by Detectives from the Tiverton Police Department, Fall River Ma. Police Department and the Taunton Ma. Police Department. During the interview, Rose admitted to committing the
robbery on 01/15/2010, along with two co-conspirators. Rose further admitted his involvement in several area robberies.

Rose will be arraigned in Second District Court in Newport RI on 02/08/2010. He will be charges with Robbery and Conspiracy to commit robbery in connection with the Tiverton incident. He will also be charged as a fugitive from justice in connection with Fall River robberies. Tiverton Police expect arrest warrants to be issued for Rose’s co-conspirators within the next several days. The Tiverton incident was investigated by Detective Sergeant Michael Carr and Detective Sergeant Michael Miguel.
