I would not want allow a picture like this of my 15yr old daughter, it is to sexual for a young girl,or any woman one for that matter. The picture looks like she is naked in bed and only covered by a sheet.Was that the plan? I know a bathing suit shows more skin, as does a backless shirt, but this picture looks like a sexual pose in a bed.It also looks like it was done purposely for publicity. Shame on her parents for being so very foolish with their child's reputation.

It is a little provactive, yet it is still beautiful. In the end people should not make such a big deal out of a picture. We all have bodies. Just because hers is nicer does not mean you have to go all crazy on the poor girl.

As a young model, I have to speak out on this. This photo is not explicit in any way! Its artistic! Some places have laws that state minors CAN pose semi, implied, or NUDE, as long as its displayed in an "artistic way", which is exactly what this photo is. When you compare this photo to "provocative images" on the net, only close minded, stuck up individuals would call this "inappropriate"...The ONLY reason I say she shouldn't of done this shoot, is because shes a star of the DISNEY channel.

the picture of miley is not a big deal because there's is nothing showing besides her back and shoulders.... I for one find the picture beautiful and natural. Think about it, at least she's not naked and not covered up! She is still a good role model for younger kids and myself.... and a picture cannot change that. I think this is absolutely horrible. She is a 15 year old girl that was time and time again complemented for being a good role model for young girls. This does not follow suit. Total disgrace and shame that they are portraying this child in this way. I have lost my respect for her/her parents who only last month were interviewed for how they have 'helped' Miley 'cope' with her sudden rise to stardom. It appears that their guidance here was truly lacking. Bad choice Miley.

Regarding the issue of Miley Cyrus’ “inappropriate nudity.” Remember Brook Shields' controversial Calvin Klein Jeans commercials in 1980, or the movies she starred in with many nude scenes, Blue Lagoon 1980 and Endless Love 1981. Made when she was 14 and 15 years old. I think this picture is really disturbing. And miley should be very disappointed and embarrased. As a parent of a 15 year old girl, I personally find the picture inappropriate. I don't understand the point of portraying a MINOR naked in bed with only a bedsheet covering her. However, I do like "Hannah Montana" and I don't blame Miley, I question her parents and/or management. Apparently the "mighty dollar" was more important then protecting their daughter's dignity.

It's a very artistic, very beautiful photo. In the context of the subject being a 15-year-old girl, it's a little... questionable. But I could swear I've seen the pose, composition, etc. as a painting before -- it may well have been inspired by a painting from more innocent days gone by. It's definitely art, not kiddie porn, which is particularly evident if you see the "behind-the-scenes" shots. She's not nude, she's got pants on, people!

If you looked at any social networking site of a girl her age, you would see almost the same type of pictures. This again is media trashing a celebrity because its what they are paid to do. None of her photos are inappropriate. She may be looked up to as a role model, but people who put these photos out into the public from her private collections are the people who are making her less of a role model.

My daughters have really enjoyed Miley and I have carefully watched her rise to fame, hoping and even stating to my girls that I hoped she would continue to make good choices and age with dignity and grace. I had hoped for her to be one shining example of a young girl that would carefully protect her innocence, yet I sadly expected her not to. So, I wasn't surprised, just very disappointed in her choice and her parents. Both pictures were way too provacative and inappropriate for a 15 year old!

I think parents put her on a pedestal and make her out to be a role model for their children and forget that she herself is a child and is human. It's totally inappropriate for a 15 year old....any 15 year old to pose for a picture like this. What does "like this" mean...just what we're seeing. It's suggestive and it's pathetic that her parents didn't have more common sense to say something to their daughter and the photographer at the time the photo's were being taken.

I think the picture is awkward. I don't think it's very good at all. Annie is not on her game, that's for sure. I believe they were going for shock value and they didn't get it. It just looks like an insecure 15 yr old, which is what she is. The grown-ups should have known better.

This picture is a bit racy for a 15 teen year old. However, It is tastefully done. Her parents were present at the time of the photos. If they had any concerns, I'm sure miley wouldn't have taken them. This young lady wears dresses that expose her back. What will they say when she is photographed in her swim suit this summer?
