A tragic car crash over the weekend has claimed the life of the teenage daughter of former state representative, Vincent Mesolella.

19-year-old Desiree Mesolella of Lincoln was killed in a deadly three-car accident around 8:30 Sunday morning in the town of Port Washington on Long Island.

Vincent Mesolella is a former state representative from North Providence and the chairman of the Narragansett Bay Commission since 1991.

His daughter was a 2006 graduate of Saint Mary's Academy Bay View, and was working on her bachelor's degree at Adelphi University on Long Island.

According to her modeling website, she one day wanted to open her own clothing boutique in Manhattan.  The site also mentioned all of her favorite things about Rhode Island:  the nightlife, Del's Lemonade and Antonio's.  Another website was quoted as saying she would one day be the next top supermodel.

The driver of the car, 21-year-old Ansaf Ibrahim, has non-life threatening injuries.  But she will be arraigned in her hospital bed Monday on a slew of charges, including DWI and manslaughter.
