Haley (Kory's girlfriend) is my cousin. She lost her bestfriend two years ago and now her boyfriend, her entire world. I am asking people like Peter to respect those left behind and keep your disrespectful and distasteful comments to yourself. My heart goes out to Kory's family (his father worked with mine as well) and to his friends and to my cousin. You will be missed :(

peter c. The point you are making is valid but innapropriate at this time. Comments such as yours are not promoting the right message. A 19 year old kid is dead and his family mourning, no one wants to hear about speed or seat belts. And honestly a seat belt would not have made a difference in the world. No one has anything negitive to say about him. People speed, kids espically get over it. YOu cant tell me you have gone the speed limit for your entire life. Your lack of compassion is worng

If you knew Kory, you would know that he was kind and considerate to everyone. He was the perfect role model for someone at his age, disregarding this one mistake. This could have happened to anyone. It would be pointless to call him out on this because 99% of people speed! He was happy, loving, friendly, caring and intelligent. We can't let the factor of speed take away from all that Kory offered. Honestly, I don't think you have a right to judge Kory if you didn't know him. Thanks. RIP Kory

Peter C. I understand the point but there is a time and place for everything and this in neither the time nor the place to pass judgement on anyone. Someone's little boy is dead. Would of, could of or should have will not bring him back. Passing judgement in this case is hurtful and disrespectful to this family and his many friends. To say kids need to slow down is understandable but to say "I'm glad he did it to himself" if wrong. RESPECT for Kory, his family and friends. this is hard enough!!

To Barbara - you're missing the point. An accident like this is a terrible thing and you never like to read about senseless tragedies like this. But these are the types of horrible things that can happen as a result of irresponsible driving. Had he not been speeding, had he been wearing a seatbelt, he'd probably be alive today. Can you imagine if he had smashed into another vehicle and wiped out a family?

Yeah Right you are an ignorant jerk. He did not kill you or anyone else. so why not keep you rotten opinion to yourself and let this family and his friends greave the loss of this great kid! Are you about to say that you ALWAYS drive the speed limit under all circumstances? I doubt it but I don't wish you dead or this horrible experience on your family. Please be more respectful. Kory RIP you were a great kid and this is a tragic loss. To The Kenyons I am so sorry for your loss.
