Alleged Animal Hoarding Investigated in Providence

Chris Boardman

A Providence apartment so overrun with animal waste it left animal control officers vomiting was condemned today.

Police were called to the Murray Street location Wednesday, and found dozens of cats.

Authorities returned Thursday to remove the animals, an effort that took all day.

The building tenant, according to officials, displayed all the signs of a hoarder.
