Early Morning Shooting Kills One in Providence

PROVIDENCE: November 6, 2009 at approximately 1:15 AM police responded to Broad and Aldrich Streets for a report of a shooting.

A 26 year old male was found on Aldrich Street near Broad with gunshot wounds to the torso. The subject was taken to Rhode Island Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 3:43 AM.

Earlier in the evening the victim had a verbal confrontation with the suspect inside Club Platinum. Witnesses are being questioned and the investigation is continues.

The victim's name is not being released pending notification of the next of kin.

Here we have a young man that has lost his life over something foolish. These young guys have got to learn to walk away from violence. Impressing people may seem cool, but your lives are far more important than your reputation. I feel badly for the families of both young men involved.

That this guy was at a club drinking and had a verbal argument? tell you what stay the heck out of the clubs or if you keep your mouth shut. This is why I don't go to clubs in town down providence/ They are all nothing but troubble you are not safe in the city.
