95 South Lane Shutting Down Through Early Saturday

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - Rhode Island transportation officials
are temporarily closing a lane of Interstate 95 South.

The closure late Friday night into early Saturday morning comes
as officials remove a split-lane traffic pattern from the
southbound lanes in West Greenwich.

A southbound lane will also be closed overnight on Sunday to
allow for the safe demolition of a portion of the old Weaver Hill
Road bridge.

The work is part of a $4.4 million project that is expected to be completed in spring 2011.

It amazes me that a huge overpass over RT 4 to Quonset can be completed it less than a year but the small overpass at exit 6 and this bridge at Robin Hollow take 2 yrs each. And I bet you couldn't pay more for them either! Lets se how long they last, not long I'd guess
