Lt. Governor, Vounteers, Create Care Packages for Troops

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - Volunteers including Lt. Gov. Elizabeth Roberts are assembling holiday care packages for Rhode Island troops stationed overseas.

They're gathering Saturday morning at the North Main Street Armory in Providence as part of Operation Holiday Cheer.

The program sends care packages including snacks, DVDs and other treats to all troops from Rhode Island.
