I have lived in RI most of my life. I raised three kids in Warwick in thier schools. They are grown now. I have noticed the same fund raisers in the past to build a playground are still going on 25 years later. With no swing to be found. The latest was about the wiring in the Warwick school system. And how a bond was voted on in 2006 but yet not spent. The inspectors go in and say everything is fine. Don't think so. I wish channel 6 would keep following this. But yet all as gone quiet again. I am going to put the effort in my self to see if the Federal Goverment has any one that can go over the inspection they did to see if they did it to begin with. I voted for that bond. Not to mention all Federal funding the Warwick School system gets for special ed. And we all know Warwick is #1 in that.

Pretty simple really. (1) ELIMINATE medical tort (lawsuits). The medical community already has oversight to regulate doctors, no need to enrich lawyers and their clients that were only watching daytime TV anyway. I had my pap done at OBGYN Assoc. and found out they are sending their pap tests out to New Jersey to be done. They used to be sent to W&I hospital but now this private lab in NJ is taking thier work away. I was very upset that my pap would be leaving the state to a private lab, and told him to send mine to W&I. I've solved the state's money issues, at least for RI, MA, CT, and possibly NY. I propose a $2000 fine for not properly using directionals while driving. With the way people drive around here, Southern New England will be out of debt in a week. Too harsh? I think not. I'm working with a young girl who happens to be HOMELESS(in a wheelchair). Yesterday i brought her food,some clothing,water. I picked yp at OPERATION STANDOWN this weekend a sleeping bag for her. You see she was the only person from HOPE CITY not to get housing. Thay kept her hid in a tent,and was told not to speak to the MEDIA,so she didn't. We saw on the news the other night that the "Mayor" of Tent City in Providence is a registered sex offender. I wonder how many other of these homeless people have run afoul of the law. To me there is a BIG (HUGE) difference between someone who's homeless due to the bad economy and someone who's homeless because they have a criminal past. You see. Last year in July i was at HARRINGTON HALL,which he ran. It was about 90 degrees for three days.There was no food,no cups for water. people were drinking out of the faucet. A soda machine worked,but was not filled. I begged mr LANGLY for food,and cups. This fell on deaf ears. I prayed for him. He called the STATE police. I called the fire dept. Two hours after my last post i recieved a call, that may change my life. Yesterday i wrote about OPERATION STANDOWN an organization that help's Homeless veterans or soon to be homeless vets get housing. I Was told that i was #2 on thair list for housing. I think I can sum up this page right now. Rhode Island is a terrible place to live because of the people who run it and 99% of the people who live in it. I can't agree more. It's so miserable here. Harrington HALL (THE OVERFLOW) shelter in cranston was visited by the fire dept. Because it was too full,thay droped the amount of people that could stay from 98 to 85 men. Which means if that 86th man trys to sleep there, he is told to find shelter some where else without, a return bus pass. That means all night walking back to providence or rolfe sq to sleep. I just hope the New HOPE people do a better job. there are alot of concerns there.

I'm tired of being a target also. For me the chair is a life support system. I have to get fed,make appointments, work,find shelter every day. Everyday seams like the INDY 500. If i'm not almost run over by CAB drivers,it's the cell phone possy. Most buss drivers give me a break but there are a few that come afull close. I can only go so fast,but i have to avoid potholes. It's been a strange year. Yesterday i turned 55. That makes two years Homeless in a wheelchair. The chair realy dosen't help, it get's in way. I would like to thank PROJECT HOPE,and everone atthe Round Top for thinking about the homeless yesterday. Thay put on a big spread of HOT food,(REAL FOOD)clothes socks gloves hats. It was cold in the morning,but thay went on to put on lunch for about 300 people. Thanks you made my day.

I was not a firemen, I would pull duty as adminstrative officer of the day. If someone coded on my shift I would have to get up go to ICU and start documenting what happened. If they expired I was not going back to sleep, I would be making arrangements with the family. Thank God most of the people that died on my shifts were expected to die so it was easier, most families or the deceased made arrangements before the demise took place. If a younger person died it was harder, it was not expected.

When I was in the Air Force there were many duties I did where I was allowed to sleep on the shift. The shift would start at 5 pm and end at 8 am the next morning. I would do my what was required and be in bed around 10 pm. I usually would get up a 6am get breakfast and do what had to be done in the morning. It very possible for fireman in a very quiet area to be able to sleep 5-8 hours and not have to respond! There will be those occasions that you won't sleep. Does this make sense?

Today I received a sex offenders notice in my mail, Warning the community of the man (the Pilgrim high school area) what a nice place for a sex offender to settle down in huh? Pilgrim, john browns Francis, Aldrich Jr high, and 2 other smaller Elementary schools in the area. Does the state help sex offenders find a new home after there jail time?

Hi, I am a watcher of your news cast, and unfortunately I do not catch your life 6am broadcast -so I am at the mercy of the RI News Channel. I just have one question that really bothers me. Your traffic segment is just a waste of time! It airs every 10 minutes, yet there is only actually a SINGLE live look at the traffic. You are obviously quite ignorant! The fact that it bothers you that firefighters take a truck to the store to pick up food amazes me. Get over it! For one thing we do not supply them with anything. They pitch in every month to pay for their food. They also work 36 hour shifts, I think they deserve to sleep!
