Only on ABC 6 - Death Threats Written on the Wall at Cranston School

John Eagan

A shocking discovery kept hundreds of students home from school in Cranston.
Police say someone wrote death threats on a bathroom wall at Western Hills Middle School last week.
Parents say the message went out way too late.
The school district defended itself by saying they did not have enough time to mail out a letter, so they sent an email instead.
ABC 6 anchor Paul Mueller has the details...

I go to this school also and all my friends thought the threat was just for people to get out of school

Threats unfortunately are common place in today's society, however as a parent I would expect proper communication of such instances. The communication surrounding the issue was communicated via email, however I am one of many that did not receive. There obviously is an underlying issue with email process at WHMS as well

my name is nate williams and im a student at the school. Truly i found the messages to be scary but that didnt keep me from school. Bomb threats happen and so do gun threats. My sister had a bomb threat almost 2 months before this threat so i think it shouldnt matter because they happen in life and all you can do is find the person who wrote them and put them somewhere where they can be helped. But its not gonna stop another gun or bomb threat.
