Narragansett Man Accused of Murdering Roommate, Denied Bail

SOUTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. (AP) - A man accused of fatally shooting his longtime roommate has been denied bail.  Karl Ek appeared today in Washington County District Court, where a judge ruled there was a high risk of flight and ordered that he remain in custody.

Ek is charged in the Aug. 11 shooting of 46-year-old John Capuano in the house the two men shared in Narragansett.
