Rhode Islander Tests Positive for West Nile Virus; First Human Case of '08

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - Rhode Island is reporting its first human case of West Nile Virus this year.
     
The state health department did not release the person's name, but said Friday that the patient lives and works in Rhode Island and is currently being treated.
     
The health department says most people infected by West Nile do not have any signs of illness. But those patients that develop symptoms typically do so four to six weeks after being bitten by an infected mosquito.
     
Symptoms can include fever, headache and body aches.
     
State health director David Gifford says the case is a reminder that people need to take precautions against mosquito bites.

I can understand perhaps not releasing the persons name however I do think the public has the right to know where the location of the infected mosquito was.
