Glory Days: Ever Play Against These RI Heroes in High School?

John Eagan

The Boston Red Sox are now on their way to the ALCS for the 4th time in 6 years.  Most of us will be rooting for the home team, but there are some Rhode Islanders who have a tough choice to make.

A pair of local superstars are also playing for a chance at World Series glory.  Of course, we're talking about Bishop Hendricken grad, outfielder Rocco Baldelli and Pilgrim High alum, relief pitcher Dan Wheeler, both Tampa Bay Rays.

Now we know there are those of you out there who've either pitched to or faced these 2 stars on the ball field, so we want to hear your 'Glory Days' stories.  For example our very own executive producer, Ryan Clifton once faced Dan Wheeler back when they were teenagers.  He went 3 for 5...how did you do???  Enter your story here, along with your info, and we may share it on the air...

What Do You Think of the State's New Ability to Track Illegal Immigrants?

  • I Like it, illegal immigrants are finding work easily while I rot in line at the unemployment office
  • Bad Idea, These people are taking sub-minimum wage jobs anyway and actual citizens are getting snared in this E-Verify system
