Woman Facing Animal Cruelty Charges After Taping Dogs' Mouths

Animal control officers were called to a Johnston home recently, after neighbors claimed they could hear the whimpers and cries of dogs in an apartment.

Upon arriving, officers found two pit bulls, they're mouths taped up, and no one home. After some investigating, the dogs' owner was found at the hospital, having just given birth to a baby boy. Police say she had taped the dogs up to keep them from barking before going to the hospital.

ABC 6 News Anchor Paul Mueller has the story with the neighbors that helped save the two dogs.

Her behavior does not surprise me. I have heard conversations in stores, libary, churches and parents in public schools that sound like her. When will you people teach your children to have better judgement. But with what I posted above, you are the problem with you own poor judgment. I estimate 250k of RIer's would be criminals in other states. That is quarter of the population. Please work on your behavior, send your kids to out of state colleges where there are not alot of RIer's to be with.

What is with these people? Typical that it is a pitbull owner. More than likely she decided to get these dogs to compensate for her own lack of confidence and brains. These low-life scumbags buy these beautiful dogs for the reason that they come with a tough reputatuion, then treat them wrongly once the dog loses its luster. Lock her up! LOSER!
