ABC 6 RAW: Local Viewer Shares Her Unfiltered Feelings on Federal Bail Out

Bryan Monaghan

Reaction is pouring in from all over the country to the extraordinary commentary of one of our ABC 6 News viewers.

Earlier this week, Alice Losasso of West Warwick shared her unedited, unfiltered view of the $700 billion bail out with our other ABC 6 viewers.

Since we posted Alice's commentary on abc6.com, we are now literally getting reaction from coast to coast!

If you missed it, here it is again. And in the meantime, send us your own commentary on what you think is the reason for this economic mess we're in. We may show your comments on the air as well...

Congressman Ron Paul "If we stuck to the Constitution as written, we would have: no federal meddling in our schools; no Federal Reserve; no U.S. membership in the UN; no gun control; and no foreign aid. We would have no welfare for big corporations, or the poor; no American troops in 100 foreign countries; no NAFTA, GAT, or fast-track; no arrogant federal judges usurping states rights; no attacks on private property; no income tax.

Once again, fearless leader, Bush lied to us, about this bill being necessary to avoid a depression...this unconstitutional, illegal, immoral bill will only make things worse in the long run, postponing the inevitable depression. No, this bill is about rewarding his corporate friends as usual, while leading the rest us once more into the abyss. We should let them all fall in by themselves, and VOTE 3rd PARTY THIS ELECTION. Obama,Biden,McCain voted for this bill. Let's rid DC of corporate bums.

Alice is indeed, most unfortunately, correct. Congress ignored both their constituent's desires AND the Constitution to pass this HORRID bill which had many different things within it other than nationalization of private business. In fact, it was titled as an amendment to a mental health act. How treasonous IS this? How against our important Constitution IS this? People better wake up, as the powerful Corporations have already taken over our "representative" govt, defiling their oaths of office

The bail out was absolutely wrong. Just another way to keep those with the most in power. Our government is not for all the people. We need to find and support another party. How many mansions will be foreclosed. You can bet interest rates will go up. I can't even watch the candidates anymore. I don't believe a word they say.

I have been researching the economic crisis for the last year. As it begins to materialize it seems government officials have done everything possible to ensure economic doom, and they have been doing the exact opposite of the will of the American people. ABC 6 is correct in saying, telling what the American people REALLY feel is out of the ordinary or not mainstream. As ironic as this is the station deserves a huge a applause and should continue.

I guess they say it will probably get worse before it gets better but I was watching our wonderful President on Sunday speaking somewhere - in a wharehouse of a small town business and, as usual, he had that smirk on his face and laughting. This is certainly no joking matter. I feel sorry for the winner of this race who will have to clean up this mess.

Bravo to ABC for airing this piece. Alice has got it right. It's not that difficult, I wish Congress could figure it out. I just hope we all remember who in Congress sold us out come election time. For those of you still not understanding this mess, try googling Ron Paul, his web site, campaign for liberty, has taught me a lot. Now is a good time to be informed!

Someone has to barrow every dollar we have in circulation, cash or credit. If the banks create ample synthetic money, we are prosperous; if not, we starve. We are absolutely without a permanent money system. When one gets a complete grasp of the picture, the tragic absurdity of our hopeless position is almost incredible, but there it is.

GO Ask Alice... She seems to know the problem and the solution better than anyone. Whay are people so stubborn and blind. I wonder if they feel the fed will actually "save" them.. I wonder if they feel either of the candidates has a clue. We have Ron Paul. And I can only comment one thing. They crucified Jesus also for telling the truth.

Alice of West Warwick is spot-on in her analysis of the bailout bill. The root of the problem is with the Federal Reserve and its printing of fiat money versus sound, commodity-based currency and manipulation of the market through arbitrary interest rate cuts and/or hikes. America's employment of a Keynesian (socialist) economic model is destined for ultimate failure. We are beginning to see its demise present-day. Bravo for airing this piece. In Liberty, Todd E.
