On Saturday, November 29 at 2:00 p.m., State Police Detectives arrested Brandon Holley, age 26, of 9 Admiralty Drive, Apt. #7, Middletown, Rhode Island for Child Abuse 1st Degree and Child Abuse 2nd Degree.
On Friday, November 28, at 9:30 p.m., the Department of Children Youth and Families (DCYF) contacted the State Police to report a case of child abuse. DCYF advised that an eight month-old child was presently in Boston's Children's Hospital suffering from internal injuries and contusions to his face. DCYF stated that the initial investigation revealed that the child's mother left the child home with his father during the early morning hours of Thursday, November 27, 2008. When she returned home, the mother observed bruising on the child's face.
Later in that day, the family traveled to Derry, New Hampshire to spend Thanksgiving Day with their relatives. Upon arrival, the maternal grandparents noticed the injuries to the child and requested that he be brought to the hospital. The child was initially examined at Parkland Medical Center located in Derry, New Hampshire. Based on the seriousness of the child's injuries, medical personnel at Parkland Medical Center transferred the child to Boston's Children's Hospital. At Boston's Children's Hospital, the father of the child gave conflicting statements concerning the injuries sustained by the child.
On Saturday, November 29, 2008, State Police Detectives responded to 9 Admiralty Drive, Apt. #7, Middletown, Rhode Island, and interviewed Brandon Holley. During his interview, Brandon Holley indicated that on Wednesday, November 26, he caused the injuries to his son by forcefully stepping on his back and abdomen and by kicking him. He further stated that on the morning of Thursday, November 27, he repeatedly struck the child in the face, which caused the bruising.
At the conclusion of the interview, Brandon Holley was taken into custody and transported to the Wickford State Police Barracks. At the Wickford Barracks, Justice of the Peace Joseph Gallucci arraigned Mr. Holley on the charges and set bail at $50,000 with surety. Brandon Holley was transported to the Adult Corrections Institution with a date to appear in Newport County District Court on Monday, December 1, 2008.

I cant believe people can do that to children I just don't understand especially in this situation what can a 8 month old child do to make one person so mad to put their hands on them. People like that need to be sent to jail and never be aloud back out I hope they rot in there!!

Leave the CG out of it. He represents a bad father, not the branch of service he is in. Don't lump this monster in with the rest. You're an idiot.

My mom received a phone call yesterday from a Massachusetts relative that told her that her nephew's grandson had been abused severely by his own father. Brandon (no relation to us) is a disgrace to humanity and deserves to be sent to prison for a long time for this horrible abuse. I am a mother of three and no child deserves a parent like this. I hope the baby recovers from this quickly and isn't permanently scarred because of this monster. Alex Emmanuelli
