In this economy I have no sympathy for the firefighters of Providence. Everyone is hurting finacially. They are complaining about paying up 15% for medical copays. Funny, that is the low end of private sector employees medical copays. Also, private sector employees do not have contractual raises. At some point in time everyone has to take one for the team. Many communities have their civil servants pay far more for medical coverage, why not Providence?

War Time rules Greg, come on get real. There hasn't been a declaration of war since WW2. And no offense Sabelle, how is it fair for Fire Fighters to not have a contract, yet still do their jobs protecting you. Maybe a little respect and attention should go to them. I find it sad that this "administration of the people" refuses to listen to the peoples issues.

I've always been a person to encourage a person's rights but not when it makes the city, or in my case my high school, look bad. Because of these protests, they've pushed away a lot of media away from the city; media that could do the city some good but now it won't happen since these protesters choose the best [or worst] times to protest.
