Turn Gone Wrong Causes Richmond Crash

Chris Boardman

A crash on Route 138 in Richmond involving a commercial vehicle and another motorist has sent one person to Rhode Island Hospital, according to cops.

According to police, the accident occurred at 4:30 AM Monday when the commercial vehicle, traveling east bound while towing a trailer, collided with the second vehicle when it turned left in an attempt to enter Route 112.

The second vehicle was struck in the passenger side door. The second motorist told police that the glare prevented him from seeing the oncoming commercial vehicle, according to Richmond Police.

Glare!! Fron the west. The sun rises is the east, and at 4:30am, there is no sun. So what about glare tells you that its OK to make that turn anyway. 4:30 am..those be oncoming headlights.

The glare from his cell phone, how can you miss an oncoming truck like that?? Regardless the truck had the right of way and the vehicle turning didn't yield, but more than likely the truck drive will get blamed for paying attention! It's the Rhode Island liberal way.
