Woonsocket Teen Suspects Charged in Break in

Chris Boardman

On November 2nd, 2009 at about 1:30pm Officer Joshua Smith and Officer Brien Godin were sent to 52 Hillsdale Avenue for a reported house break. When they arrived the home owner informed them he left his house for about an hour and when he returned he noticed his house was broken into.

While processing the scene police located paper work (home work) in the name of a Woonsocket High School Student near the point of entry. The homeowner didn't recognize the item or the name of the juvenile author. Officer Smith and assisting Detectives investigated further and discovered the juvenile was absent for the time period of the house break.

As the investigation continued it was learned the juvenile had a classmate as an accomplice. Some of the stolen items were found to be in possession of both subjects involved. The juvenile males both aged fifteen were charged with Breaking and Entering. The investigation is continuing and more charges are pending.
