Man Shot in Face During Alleged Gun Buy Held

LINCOLN, R.I. (AP) - A Massachusetts man shot in the face during a scuffle with a Rhode Island state trooper in a Lincoln park has been ordered held on $200,000 bail.

Police say 26-year-old Arjusz Roszkowski tried to buy
a weapon off of undercover Trooper Chris Zarella inside Lincoln
Woods State Park on Nov. 6.

Authorities say when Zarella identified himself as a police
officer, Roszkowski pulled a gun out of his waistband and shot
himself in the face during the struggle. The bullet went through
the suspect's throat and out his ear. Zarella was not hurt.

Police say Roszkowski, of North Reading, Mass. had come to Rhode Island to buy guns.

He entered no plea during his arraignment on Monday, but in
court called the allegations about him "just lies."

Let me be Mr. logic here for a second.......... They were struggling over the gun, and it "just so happens" he shoots HIMSELF in the FACE!!!!!! Oh and I guess the cops prints on the gun are dismissed because there is a chance he touched it. There is nothing like taking a single gun off the streets to end violence. Without that one gun all the crack dealers will make it a safer place. Thanks department of justice.
